approches are known as middle range theories.

3. Grand theory and miniature
theory                     :   Grand theory provides a brand conceptual scheme. But miniature theory provide narow or limited
conceptual schme. Grand theories have wide area of study but miniature theories have limited
field and so they are called as partial theory.

4. Metaphysical theory
Grounded theory    :           Metaphysical theories have look in phylosaphical tradition. But grounded have roots in scientific

5.Monistic theory
Multifactor theory :            Monistic theories are those theorectical. focus on single factor for the proper understanding of
social phenomena. But multy factor theories focus on several factors and their relationship in

to functional theories function is the system sustaining activity.

8.Interactional theory:           There theories concentrated upon the interaction among the individuals for system maintanance.

9.Exchange theories  :            Exchange theories as the theories that make analysis and generalaisation upon exchange transaction.
